Spring is here and it’s time to get cracking – the orchard has exploded and so have the weeds! Today’s efforts included tedious weeding inside the new native plant shrouds and knocking flowers of the harlequin weed that is trying to take over the whole site. We’ll win the war yet. Also, crack teams were up in the shed building the next lot of garden plot boxes and laying them out for a flood of new members. And software is being trialled onsite to gather statistics on participation which will better enable the committee to demonstrate community involvement to public organisations and funding providers.
